Modern Matt Black & Rustic Iron Kitchen

We've taken on the task of modernising a a home in Tadcaster, York, by creating a beautiful modern Matt Black & Rustic Iron kitchen. The owners were looking for a way to create a modern and striking space which worked & flowed better along with having a high quality product that will last the test of time.

The project started with removing the tired original kitchen, studding the ceiling down, creating the extractor housing and adjusting the kitchen electrics to accommodate the new design and layout.

We used plaster in LED lights on the extractor housing to make a feature of the island which is both aesthetic and functional. Additional LED lights were milled into the soil oak floating shelves, independently switched and creating further ambiance. Finally, dimmable spot lights allow for the perfect combination of lighting to accommodate the new layout.

We used the Brava & Junko Matt versa range in Matt Black & Rustic Iron with black aluminium gola rails to match the black stainless steel under mounted sink and tap.

The island was positioned to allow enough room all around and was completed with White Mirage Quartz worktops with a shark nose detail on the front edge to allow for easy access into the top gola rail along with adding an extra dimension and detail to the worksurfaces.

We also fitted engineered oak flooring throughout the kitchen and dining area of the property to complete the look of the kitchen tying the floor and the floating shelves together.
